Hope Alvinston Ministries Made With Serif WebPlus.
Helping people to meet and follow Jesus Christ and his kingdom living.
We run camping events where there is daily chapels to teach Bible stories and help teach people to love all their neighbours including the ones with whom we might disagree.
We focus on developing our staff. The stronger staff the better camp experience for our campers.
We focus on developing our staff in the area of Christian faith. The better they can know and follow Jesus the kinder and more committed they will be to loving their neighbours as campers now and through out their lives.
We help staff to move beyond their comfort zone and try new things they have never done before so they develop a habit of life long learning and growing. This will help them to problem solve at camp and through out the rest of their lives.
We train them on how to deal with “challenging campers” with special of unique needs. Everyone deserves to be treated with love and some times that is more challenging. The phrase “We are here for the campers” is part of our camp culture.
Each camper has his or her own story and the staff are encouraged to get to know those stories and help each camper as needed..
At HAM camps we like to teach useful life skills. But each camper come from unique back ground and so staff are trained to discover campers skills and grow them from where they are to a new level.
Along with Vacation Bible Schools, we like to run skills based camps like drama, wood working, cooking adventure camps with canoeing, cooking over fires, orienteering, knot tying, shelter building, where campers will learn to use tools, team work and skills to safely live life with positive relationships.
